EKFB Looking for Senior Ecology Manager at Milton Keynes Full Time

About The Role

This exciting role will see you developing and designing solutions in accordance to our client standards, procedures and requirements and meeting environmental requirements e.g. Legislation, Environment Agency and Natural England.
 
This role will require you to produce an Ecological Management Plan and associated route wide documentation/tools in relation to ecology, you’ll also need to follow up with periodic reviews. You will also be required to produce guidance documents, method statements, toolbox talks and templates.
 
You will be responsible for the set up of systems and process to manage ecological deliverables – publishing these on our BMS and via Document control. You will need to manage licensable requirements and report back to the client and Natural England.
Collaboration will be required with the landscape and design team to identify and drive opportunity to increase biodiversity. We will also need you to advise the EKFB delivery and advisory team on ecological aspects of the scheme including conflict resolution and problems solving.
The role will require stakeholder engagement with the Woodland Trust, canal and rivers trust and local authorities and wildlife trusts. You will also have involvement in recruitment of ecologists to the project to ensure appropriate candidates are brought in.
You will be the EKFB representative for ecology at meetings, webinars etc with Client and other contractors working on the scheme. It is also essential that you manage the ecology consents and licences to ensure that EKFB remain compliant.

About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
 

• Civils experience preferred
• Relevant degree and/or experience of ecology in the construction industry
• Experience of working with protected species
• Holding some licenses such as GCN and/or bat license essential
