We are a 40-person civil engineering firm that is seeking a finance assistant to work directly with our Finance Director. In this role, you will support company accounting, payroll, complete general bookkeeping responsibilities, pay subcontractors and vendors. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting processes, and familiarity with Quickbooks.
Minimum Qualifications:
· At least five years of accounting experience.
· Proficient with Quickbooks and Excel.
· Able to perform accounting functions in a highly detailed and accurate manner.
· Excellent organizational skills, and an ability to work independently in a quiet office setting.
· A college degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Assist with payroll processes.
· Prepare payment for vendors.
· Prepare and enter payroll journal entries into QB.
· Receive and organize mail.
· Complete general office housekeeping activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 – $34.00 per hour
