About You

You are an adventurous, passionate, and creative software engineer eager to apply your talents to empower interdisciplinary scientific exploration, inaugurate a radical drug-discovery paradigm, and ultimately create novel medicines. As part of Eikon’s diverse team, you will interface with biologists, medicinal chemists, microscopists, and optical and automation engineers to design and deploy computational solutions that enable the exploration and quantification of Eikon’s high-content datasets.

What You’ll Do

• Help design, implement, optimize, and test signal processing and image analysis algorithms that will enable Eikon’s drug discovery platform
• Work collaboratively with scientists and engineers to understand tactical needs, prototype and then productionize software to keep experiments moving forward
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, developing milestones and deadlines in coordination with the broader company goals

Qualifications

• B.S. or PhD in Physics, Math, Applied Math, or Computer Science
• Extensive foundational understanding of discrete math, Fourier analysis, numerical optimization, and probability theory
• Solid foundation in implementing numerical algorithms in code
• Python expertise and C++ proficiency a must
• CUDA experience strongly desired
• Prior experience with algorithm development for image analysis or computer vision
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for multiple target tracking a plus
• Ability to efficiently investigate and solve problems, from prototype development (Python, R, MATLAB, etc.) to production designs
• Experience as a professional programmer strongly desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team oriented, flexible, able to adapt to rapidly evolving goals and challenges
• Enthusiasm for gaining biological and drug discovery experience essential
