About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working with Senior Management you will:

• Collate and review financial records to ensure accuracy and clear audit trails

• Work with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting to Senior Management is the most efficient for effective decision making

• Record intercompany accounting transactions and partake in related reconciliations across entities

• You will support the preparation of monthly, half-year and full-year reports and the annual business plan, provide analysis that helps to improve business performance and meet statutory reporting obligations in accordance with regulatory standards

• Work with the external auditors to ensure compliance with the applicable statutory standards

• Assist with quarterly income tax calculations and tax installment payments

• Work with the Logistics team to record and reconcile day to day inventory transactions

• Participate in the establishing and monitoring divisional budgets

• Overview monthly results including reporting on all costs over budget, participate with management to control all costs so as to ensure that we have the highest productivity at the lowest cost

• Monitor the progress of the group’s strategic goals to ensure financial targets are being met

About You:

You will have:

• Acute attention to detail, particularly in areas such as inventory control, cash management and debtors

• Proven experience in financial or management accounting is essential

• Audit (internal and/or external) experience would be beneficial

• CA/CPA qualification desirable

• Commercial experience in a medium sized business would be advantageous

• Knowledge of wholesale and retail distribution and sales procedures of industrial business;

• Be capable of developing and implementing high level strategies to engage with internal and external senior stakeholders;

• Be able to display strong values in your approach to business activities;

• Excellent organisation and time-management skills

• Willing to ‘jump in and get your hands dirty’ when needed for different projects
