EGM Partners Hiring for Finance Manager Job at South Australia Full Time

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic professional to join the management team as a full-time Finance Manager for a well-known South Australian sporting club.

The club has a huge following with facilities including bistro, bars, function rooms and gaming. They pride themselves on their customer service, exemplary venue presentation and professional work environment – everybody is passionate about the industry and doing their bit to help the club succeed on a state and national level.

The ideal applicant will have a minimum 5 years experience across all areas of accounting. The salary for this position is negotiable, dependent on experience and demonstration of previous goals / KPI’s achieved but int he range of $80k – $100k plus super.

The successful applicant will ideally have the following:

• CPA / CA qualification and / or High Level of Experience or understanding of the industry (Sporting Club/Hospitality/Venue Finance Operations)
• An ability to interpret Awards and legislation changes
• High level of exposure and comfort with a variety of software systems
• Experience with MYOB and / or Xero or other accounting systems
• Understanding gaming reconciliations / banking
• Ability to generate high level excel reports
• Advanced report writing skills
• Strong verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to sharing information
• Project management experience and the ability to implement new systems

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include the following:

• Preparation of BAS Returns, Group and Payroll Tax Returns and FBT
• Payroll processing and management including Superannuation returns and employee entitlements
• Reconcile Bank, A/R, A/P General Ledger and Payroll accounts on a monthly basis
• Develop and manage the budgeting process
• Preparing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
• Asset Register management
• Preparing cash flow projections, both short and long term
• Strategic input into the financial and business needs of the Club
• Ability to work on exciting capital works projects
• Liaise with key bank personnel regarding the Club’s accounts and loan facilities when required
• Provide leadership to the administration team
