Efinix Hiring for Director of Accounting Job at Cupertino, CA Full Time

As the Director of Accounting, you will lead the accounting team in building policies, procedures, systems, and reporting to ensure proper compliance and GAAP reporting.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will help build a best in class, scalable accounting function able to support a rapidly growing company.

Key areas of focus will be developing and implementing key technical accounting policies and procedures, managing financial statements and close activity, assisting in the preparation for an
IPO and related SEC filings and playing a key role in implementing and managing the accounting processes for a new ERP system, SAP Business One.

The ideal candidate must possess solid knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations, strong business acumen and the desire to grow and contribute to Efinix’s success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of global financial results in accordance with US

GAAP and global accounting policies

• Assist in the design, documentation and maintenance of effective corporate accounting policies, procedures, and processes
• Read and interpret accounting guidance and compose memos on technical accounting topics
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close of the income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and general ledger analysis
• Ensure revenue, cost of goods sold, and expenses are properly recorded based on GAAP
• Lead critical accounting projects including supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new ERP system, SAP Business One.
• Manage staff for accounts payable, accounts receivables, expense reporting and payroll processing
• Manage audits by interfacing with auditors and completion of supporting schedules
• Support finance activities, including day-to-day financial analysis and routine communication relating to issues and deliverables
• Drive continuous improvement to meet current and future business requirements

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
• Minimum 7+ years of related experience; previous Big 4 experience a plus
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated ability to research and interpret accounting and reporting pronouncements and determine proper accounting treatment
• Ability to build relationships and influence others to achieve successful outcomes in cross- functional projects and activities
• Strong interpersonal, communications and business analytic skills. Advance excel skills.
• Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements
• Experience with large ERP systems is a plus
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, and high-growth environment
• Positive attitude, detail-oriented and highly organized.
