What is the HR Summer Placement?

Our Human Resources summer placement provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global HR Function and explore where a career in HR could take you. You’ll work on:

A diverse range of HR practitioner projects including People Strategy, Talent Strategy, Talent Analytics and Learning and Development.

Participate in the creation and delivery of our Global HR Conference.

Develop corporate communications experience, supporting strategic people communication methods, creating content and supporting the delivery to our colleagues.

Gain exposure to our Early Careers strategy and supporting the delivery of our programmes.

This placement will start in June/July 2022 and will last up to 12 weeks.

Where would I work?

You will be based in our Global Technology Centre in Burgess Hill, Sussex, a short drive away from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton and Hove.

About you

Education

A student in your penultimate year of your degree in any subject, but preferably with a focus on Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or similar.

Skills, knowledge, and behaviours

A genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources.

Able to work with internal customers with a professional attitude.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Ability to work on own initiative with a proactive approach to challenges.

Ability to influence and offer effective solutions.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Enjoys data analysis with a keen eye for detail.

Independent thinker.
