Edward Rose & Sons Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist Job at Portage, MI Full Time

Edward Rose & Sons is a large and continuously growing, national real-estate development and management company headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with additional offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Flint and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Edward Rose & Sons have built over 80,000 single-family homes, and apartments since 1921 and are still actively engaged in residential construction today.

We are currently looking to fill a Talent Specialist position in our Kalamazoo divisional office located in Portage, MI. The Talent Specialist is responsible for working with candidates and hiring managers through all phases of the recruiting process, including effective sourcing, screening, and matching candidates to current and future job openings.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Partnering with the Recruiter to recruit on and fill open requisitions and ensures job advertising is professional in appearance.
• Builds and maintains excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates and recruiting sources to accomplish hiring needs.
• Guides hiring managers and candidates through the recruiting process, utilizing an applicant tracking system and onboarding system.
• Maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source top talent.
• Utilizes a wide variety of tools such as ATS, job boards, search engines, referrals, text to apply functionality, and networking sites to fill open positions and to develop a pool of quality, diverse talent.
• Coordinates with the marketing team and assists with social media recruiting efforts, using tools such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Schedules and/or performs candidate phone screens, interviews, background checks, and reference checks.
• Schedules interviews and conducts testing as needed.
• Attends recruitment events and career fairs as necessary.
• Provides responses to reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed websites.
• Stays up with industry and job trends.
• Works with Director, Talent Acquisition & Management on plans to implement plans and tracking progress and measures.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Director, Talent Acquisition & Management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and able to utilize all available office management technology including but not limited to SharePoint and Excel.
• Must be customer-centric with the ability to build and maintain an excellent relationship with hiring managers, human resources team, and candidates.
• Ability to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Ability to learn technology quickly and implement its use.
• Professional, goal oriented, articulate, and able to use good judgment and discretion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, while functioning as a team player.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws (EEO).
• Willing to travel occasionally, stay overnight.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
