Team Overview:

Edward Jones is seeking an experienced and talented individual contributor to help analyze and optimize Enterprise Search for the firm. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to analyze search data, evaluate proposed enhancements, and optimize results while partnering with key stakeholders to deliver an exceptional Search Experience. Providing a highly resilient platform that aligns with industry best practices and a premium user experience are top priorities for this group.

What you’ll do…

As a Search Quality Analyst, you will explore and contextualize relevant data points that impact the end user Search Experience. Utilizing end user feedback, log analysis and a variety of ing mechanisms, you will be the voice of the user for improving search relevancy for Edward Jones. In this role, you will work closely with members of the Search team, business analysts, content and product owners to continually refine and execute changes that improve both findability and searchability of firm content. Other responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement KPI’s to measure search success
• Create relevancy models that guide decisions for new and existing content
• Perform A/B testing and scoring to validate desired effects of change
• Suggest enhancements based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Establish a deep understanding of team systems, processes, priorities, and technologies
• Support the user community through direct communication and high touch interactions

What You’ll Need…

• Demonstrated experience supporting large scale or enterprise-wide Search solutions
• Basic and some advanced knowledge of search engines:
  • Linguistics (synonyms, stopwords, stemming and lemmatization)
  • Knowledge of search architecture
  • Relevancy model and relevance score calculation
  • Content acquisition and preparation for indexing
• Basic and some advanced knowledge of search-related analytics
  • Understand search logging, how analytics systems work, sessions
  • Experience with manual and automated log analysis tools
  • Logs in aggregate: Finding query patterns in the logs
  • Basic/single-dimension informative metrics (top queries, zero-results queries, top clicked documents, etc.)
  • KPIs and benchmarks
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience
