Responsibility Summary:

Deliver results through leadership of associates in alignment with firm, division, area’s business planning process.

• Lead the Accounts Payable team
• Responsible for the home office Accounts Payable processes and controls environment
• Ensure systems, processes, and controls are in place and operating as intended to effectively validate, process, pay and record the firm’s financial transactions
• Proactively communicate analyses and tailored financial information in partnership with the business areas and branch teams we support
• Balance team priorities and remove any obstacles to ensure associates are focused on key activities that meet critical business needs

Shape the team’s future to ensure scalable results are delivered in alignment with the firm’s business model in an environment of continuous process improvement

• Challenge the status quo to ensure processes are optimized, efficient, or abandoned if not needed
• Leverage internal and external relationships to ensure team deliverables are in compliance with industry best practices and conforming to regulatory requirements

Cultivate a high-performing, high-energy culture to maximize your own and each associate’s contribution

• Foster an environment of development for your associates and hold them accountable to achieve their desired development goals
• Commit to a personal development plan as a role model for your team and to continually increase your own level of contribution
• Hold associates accountable and reward performance grounded in the RBM framework

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field. CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience, leadership experience preferred.
• Financial services industry experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of accounting
• Ability to manage complex financial matters or processes in their area of expertise.
• Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient in PeopleSoft, preferred.
• Strong systems and application management skills.
