An opportunity has arisen in the Thames Valley Education Department within Health Education England for a full-time Education Programme Officer. This is a full-time permanent post.

The successful applicant will have a good general level of education and be able to deal with a very busy environment. You will also have good time management skills (including reliability and punctuality); able to demonstrate a pro-active attitude; attention to detail and the ability to approach obstacles in a creative and constructive manner.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive operational management and support for the overall management of training programmes.
As a line manager of a number of staff you will be required to conduct appraisals, regular 1:1, annual leave and sickness management, as well as the day to day queries that arise.
On a regular basis you will be required to complete data requests, and complete the Code of Practice returns quarterly. You will need to gain knowledge of working on the various database systems and e-portfolios. You will be required to implement new policies and procedures across the team.
Whether you are contacting trainee doctors, the General Medical Council, local NHS organisations on behalf of Health Education England or working with colleagues from other areas in England, your essential input will help ensure we carry on delivering our current high standards of excellent customer service. There will also be some travel to offsite meetings/recruitment events.

HEE will maintain an effective system for professional education and training as part of a comprehensive health service.
