EDR Technology Hiring for Java Developer Job at Ashburn, VA Full Time

This position is for a Java developer that has a strong background in creating modern Java backends.

3 + years’ experience in required skills or be able to demonstrate very high proficiency in Java, HTTP, REST and various open source Java libraries; may have more overall IT experience.

Job Responsibilities—

• Design, implement, test, and document back-end components written in Java
• Research, analysis, and integration of Java technologies and open source libraries.
• Design new Java microservices projects and refactor existing ones.
• Understand Spring-based microservices code.

Required Skills and Experience—

• Strong Expertise with back-end technologies: Java, open-source Java libraries (e.g. Apache Commons, Spring)
• Strong Expertise with HTTP-based web services and related technologies including HTTP, REST, JSON, and Soap/XML.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Experience with unit testing with JUnit.
• Experience with using modern Java development IDEs (IntelliJ/Eclipse)
• Ability to work in a UNIX/Linux environment
• Strong Knowledge with version control using Git
• Ability to understand Spring-based dependency injection

Customer Requirements

• Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
• Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
• Location – Telework with some on-site (Kingstowne, VA and/or Ashburn, VA) visits for mission needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,119.96 – $171,710.83 per year
