Edovate Learning is an EdTech company focused on providing preK-12 homeschool curriculum to students and families. Edovate is currently looking for a freelance copy editor to collaborate with the internal team as part of a curriculum project focused on grades 1-6 for Math with an anticipated end date of May 2023.Responsibilities:

  • Edit manuscripts for adherence to CMOS as well as Edovate’s style guide.
  • Make grammatical, spelling, and convention corrections to manuscripts in preparation for print and digital production.
  • Rewrite manuscripts for clarity and appropriateness where needed.
  • Reduce word counts for layout within print templates as needed.
  • Verify manuscript copy is accurate and original or properly cited.

Requirements:

  • mastery of English grammar, spelling, and conventions
  • acute attention to detail
  • experience with elementary education
  • familiarity with both digital and print production requirements and specifications
  • ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • experience working with Google Suite
  • Offer contingent on signing an Edovate contract.
