Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a large, multi-campus institution serving communities nationally and internationally. The University has two metropolitan campuses at Mount Lawley and Joondalup, and also serves Western Australia’s South-West Region from a campus at Bunbury, 200 km south of Perth.
The Role
The successful candidate will work across research areas primarily in the “educated child” stream which draws upon early childhood, education, and community services disciplines with some requirement to liaise with researchers and research leaders in the “connected child” and “healthy child” areas.
The successful applicant will also be required to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check and have full Covid immunisation.
Key criteria
Completion of a relevant degree in education (preferable early childhood) or community services or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
1-5 years’ experience in the education or community service area with previous experience undertaking research ideally with qualitative and systematic review skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to research outcomes including journal articles, conference papers and book chapters.
Experience of recruiting participants and/or a track record of research with children and their families is advantageous.

Benefits and Remuneration
This part-time (50% FTE), 2 year fixed-term position attracts a remuneration of $75,821 to $84,254 pro-rata pa (HEW 5) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
