We are seeking to appoint an appropriately experienced and qualified placement support officer with excellent organisational, administrative computer/system skills to assist in supporting our placement program. Familiarity or proficiency with the “SONIA” placement system will be highly regarded.
The focus of the role is operational and administrative support of the placement program, which involves liaison and activities with students, staff and external agencies. This position will be a “SONIA” specialist: leading the administration of, and inputs into, the system, developing the processes and workflows that facilitate and improve the functionality and levels of support, liaising with Business/Software support on technical issues, and guiding others to use the system proficiently.
As a member of the Field Education Unit, the role may also assist in establishing, supporting and managing partnerships with field placement providers, and supporting our students on placement, to facilitate placements opportunities that comply with AASW requirements and meet the individual student’s learning needs.
Ideally, we would like the role to work over the week, but we are very happy to discuss hours and flexibility.
The successful applicant will possess:
Strong administrative and governance skills, from demonstrated experience in providing efficient administrative support within a large organisation (experience within Social Service agencies is desirable but not essential);
Effective interpersonal skills and team skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships; and
A working knowledge of SONIA, or similar placement systems, and familiarity with placement programs (knowledge of Social Work placements would be advantageous).
Some flexibility around hours of work and contingency for additional hours would be desirable.

Benefits & Remuneration
This part-time, ongoing positions attract a remuneration of $73,257 – $81,404 pa (HEW 5 per annum pro rata) plus 17% university superannuation contribution.
