Edith Cowan University Hiring for Field Educator – Social Work Job at Perth Full Time

The ECU Field Education Team are looking for Social Workers who would be available to support students throughout their field placements.

The Field Educator provides students with weekly social work supervision in line with AASW requirements. The Field Educator works alongside the Liaison Officer, task supervisor and Field Education team support the student as well as develop and implement any plans as needed to address learning needs. The Field Educator ensures the learning is relevant to social work and assists in exploring learning opportunities.

The Field Educator guides students in completing their Placement Learning Record and rate the student against each learning area. These ratings are discussed at the student’s mid and final placement progress meetings. The Field Educator makes a recommendation to ECU if the student should receive a pass or fail grade, in line with academic policy.

Criteria

Possess as a minimum, a Bachelor of Social work or equivalent and be eligible for membership of the AASW.

Possess 2 years or more current practice experience in the field

Access to transport, as students are met in person where practicable

Due to Government Mandates, it is a requirement that applicants for this role are fully vaccinated against COVID.
