About the role:

As a Software Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and extending our development process and team. This team will maintain and create new technologies to give our company the differentiator needed to continue our growth. As an engineering leader, you should be driving engineering best practices and technical excellence. As a people manager, you should be working to instill a healthy and respectful culture and team environment, where people have the opportunity to grow and are able to work efficiently. This role will need to partner with various stakeholders to define and deliver on project roadmaps and team goals, cross-organization technical decisions, as well as staffing and people management duties.

What you will do:

• Work with the existing development process (UI/UX, Product Manger, QA, Web devs and App devs) to maintain the existing product and implement more current efficient processes.
• Coordinate engineering efforts for the teams to deliver results according to plan
• Be responsible for the health, performance, stability and scalability of deployed services
• Ensure issues are monitored, tracked, and responded to Ensure solutions are being properly architected and built out to address current and future business and technology needs
• Champion discussions across teams to make sure technical decisions are made in an informed manner
• Manage engineering team health and ensure that teams are properly staffed to accomplish its goals, including 1/1s, mentoring, staffing planning, candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing

Needed from you:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• 3-5 + years leading software engineering teams
• Experience delivering software using an incremental approach
• Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, Webstacks, REST, PHP, HTTP/HTTPS and SaaS products
• Worked on large, complex applications with shared ownership
• Can Identify what needs to be done, collect data, present options and communicate tradeoffs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
