About the Role

As Head of Teacher Education Development, you will join one of the largest and longest established Faculties of Education in the country.

You will take a central role in shaping our QTS provision for the new sector requirements ahead, maintaining our unwavering commitment to the highest quality preparation of teachers and education professionals. You will work closely with the Associate Dean for ITE, and other senior colleagues, to ensure our alignment with regulatory requirements whilst remaining agile, innovative and collaborative.

Readiness for 2024 and beyond will require extensive work across all aspects of our provision, from design to quality assurance, and you will have the expertise to significantly shape our future portfolio. About You

As Head of Teacher Education Development, you will have an excellent track record in senior leadership in teacher education, including the design and delivery of successful provision and ensuring that it is underpinned by the highest quality pedagogical approaches.

You will have a detailed understanding of the wider teacher education sector and will be able to respond with insight and assurance. In addition, you will have demonstrable expertise in maintaining readiness for Ofsted inspections and other regulatory requirements, with the emphasis on continual enhancement and impact.
