The Opportunity

Here at EDF, we’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Financial Accounting Services team to support and lead on delivering a comprehensive range of financial accounting services to all business units. Your role will involve leading and supporting the transition of activity from other business units into Finance Shared Services and from our team onshore to our partners offshore therefore your strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills are key to your success in this role.

The team is focused on delivering high quality services and driving efficiency into our operations, ensuring all processes and systems are standardised, effective and right located. You’ll be part of a really supportive team however will have the flexibility to work autonomously to decide your own schedule. Although you’ll predominantly be working from home, you’ll get together with your team for meetings, collaboration and training etc as we understand that this time with your colleagues is so important.

What we’re looking for

Some of the key activities you’ll be taking part in will include general ledger and balance sheet accounting, inter-company accounting, preparation of VAT returns and corporation tax packs. You will also be supporting the team in maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger on behalf of all business units.

We are looking for someone who is qualified or part qualified (support for your exams will be provided), with good knowledge of SAP and ideally a background in shared service environments. You’ll be comfortable working and collaborating remotely, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines despite often conflicting priorities. You’ll also have knowledge and experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives through Lean or other similar methodologies. As the Finance Shared Services develops, the responsibilities of your role could grow to incorporate processes from other areas of the business.
