The Education, Skills & Employment Industrial Placement Programme:
Hinkley Point C is offering an Education, Skills and Employment Industrial Placement opportunity within the Employment Affairs Unit that supports our nuclear new build project within the local area.
The construction of HPC will create thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities, in a broad range of occupations, as we work alongside our contract partners to create a legacy of skills for the future. As part of the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), you’ll work predominantly with our Education, Skills and Job Service teams to develop and deliver initiatives to support local people who live around Hinkley Point C to access career opportunities with all employers on the Project.
Training, development and support for you:
During the 12-month placement you’ll experience all aspects of the Employment Affairs Unit and contribute to various community and education outreach programmes, skills interventions and employment events in order to reach as many people as possible in the local area. You’ll collaborate with a range of employers, from smaller local businesses to international project contractors in order to deliver interventions that support individuals that live locally to access job opportunities on the HPC Project.
The skills and experience you’ll have the opportunity to gain on this unique industrial placement will set you up for a successful career and you’ll build a great network of stakeholders, should you apply to EDF after your graduation.

This placement will be based at Hinkley Point C (HPC) Site, and in our offices in Bridgwater.
