To deliver high quality teaching in a group or one-to-one situation, ensuring full compliance with awarding body standards, funding agency requirements and Ofsted.

To ensure that learners progress well and experience high levels of satisfaction throughout their programme.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Delivery of maths and English Functional Skills curricula from Entry 1 to Level 2
• Embedding of maths and English in vocational curricula, according to needs of learners
• Contributing to curriculum development and schemes of learning
• Planning of quality learning activities as per the model of delivery – including flexibility to adapt to learner need
• Implementation of agreed initial assessment process
• Offering good Information, advice and guidance to learners
• Delivering timely completions that are of the required standard
• Preparing learners for external examinations and assessments up to Level 2 Functional Skills
• Following Safeguarding, Prevent and British Value policies and processes and promoting all during delivery

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

• Maths and English qualifications to at least Level 2
• Teaching Qualification – minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently under own initiative

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Commitment to providing high quality learning for all

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Billingham, TS23 4AZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
