Eden Brown Synergy Hiring for Interim Head of HR at Hertfordshire Full Time

The role is full time, to start no later that the 1st July and is paying £75,000 per annum (£373.33 Umbrella per day) The role is in scope of IR35.

You will need to be in the office in Hatfield 3-4 days a week.

The role:
Day to day leadership of HR Ops Team for the South. Responsible for the provision of a comprehensive and professional Human Resource service to the Region supporting the SLT in delivering growth, achieving financial results, improved engagement and reduced attrition.

Key Accountabilities

• Member of Region’s Leadership Team and the Divisional HR Leadership Team leading HR Ops activity and reporting against the Divisional HR Strategy and local People Plan.
• Supports the MD in agreeing priorities within the People Plan and acts as a trusted advisor.
• HR Lead for Local Employee Forum, Wellbeing and Zero Carbon Working Group
• Works closely with the Head of L&D to ensure actions around L&D and Social Value compliment the People Plan for the Region
• Ensures HR cycle activities such as Personal Development Reviews, Succession Planning etc are carried out within the Region to the required levels and timelines
• Act as gate keeper for the Remco, benchmarking T&Cs to ensure equity internally and externally
• Manages the Regional HR Team and enables delivery of business as usual activity as well as change plans when required, leading on business change including restructures and TUPE across the Region.
• Manages complex ER cases in conjunction with the Divisional HRD and legal team to successful conclusion. Advising on final stage grievance / disciplinary action, attending at dismissal appeals or final stage grievance as required
• With operational management team review target operating models, providing expert advice on resource planning and methods to achieve structural change
• Interacts positively with Resourcing, Reward, the SSC and central support for employees and ensuring the Regional Team also work closely and collaborate positively.

Essential Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Qualified CIPD member preferably Fellow
• Extensive experience in a senior HR role managing a team
• Strong track-record in HR generalist and change management roles
• Thorough knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
• Demonstrable Commercial acumen and credibility
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Highly numerate with strong verbal reasoning skills
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines / with conflicting priorities
• Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving
• Ability to represent HR activities at a regional SLT level
