The successful candidate must have full working rights in Australia (we can’t provide sponsorship or 457 transfer for this role), excellent communication skills (fluent English written and spoken) and a love of working in a fast moving, creative, dynamic workplace.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance with 1-2 years’ experience in accounting/financial management in a service industry.
- Public relations/marketing communications industry experience is preferred.
- Candidates are client service oriented and possess strong financial analysis, management and communication skills, a team player attitude and possess a strong work ethic.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is required
Reporting:
- This role reports to the Finance Manager and works closely with their designated Client Partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sound financial counsel to the Client Partners and Corporate Finance.
Financial management
- Provide accurate financial information to the Corporate Finance.
- Review monthly fees and expenses and analyze monthly P&Ls.
- Work with Corporate Finance to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Develop internal operating budgets, projections and forecasts.
- Drive profitability by working with unit’s management and account teams to improve client and resource management.
Manage Client Finances
- Assist Account Teams in pricing large client proposals and developing client budgets.
- Communicate with clients regarding budget, billing, and accounts receivable issues.
- Facilitate monthly billing.
- Work with account teams on client budgets, revenue analysis and project audits.
Project and Resource Management
- Review management reports, including missing time, utilization, (over)/under service, and client profitability.
- Identify and communicate areas of concern and work with account staff to reach targeted metrics.
- Ensure account staff compliance with company policies including ethics policies, revenue recognition, job requisitions, time entry, travel and expense policies, billing, and accounts payable.
- Comply with company policies and procedures including ethics policies and revenue recognition.
- Assist in account staff training on internal systems, procedures, and project management skills.
- Manage letter of intent/client contract process and ensure that projects are managed in accordance with contracts; assist with project budget tracking.
People Development
- Support and mentor other personnel as required.
- Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers, managers.
- Engage in team building activities.
