Finance Leader
The candidate will serve as a key leader of the CFO’s team in supporting the continued growth of Eddy Carolina Pride through enhancing and increasing the functional capabilities of the finance department. This candidate will have an objective focus on helping organizations increase profitability and improve cash flow.
The successful candidate must possess strong business acumen and communication skills, exceptional analytical skills, self-starting attributes, enthusiasm, and a results-oriented attitude. Position Overview
Lead Processes
· Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions
· Coordinating, preparing and review of reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
· Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing. Ensure statements correctly reflect the company’s financial position in accordance with GAAP
· Review & safeguard company assets through the maintenance of effective inventory controls
· Key liaison with external business partners, including equity ownership team, external audit and tax partners, insurance providers, and financial institutions
Provide analytical support
· Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends and provide credible projections to the CFO, CEO, and Equity Partners
· Lead deep-dives to fully understand and address performance issues
· Conduct cost reviews to identify savings opportunities and inform strategies to optimize our spends
· Provide support for strategic projects (e.g., negotiations, fundraising, M&A, new products and big initiatives)
Oversee teams, systems, and process development
· Create a workplace that fosters teamwork and strengthens communication within and outside the department
· Play critical role in harmonization and standardization aimed at reducing complexity, improving accuracy, and reducing cost
· Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes
· Define and evolve the team structure to advance the team’s development, capabilities, career advancement and service level to the business
· Work to direct staff to improve the level of automation involved in generating standardized reporting through collaboration with IT
Candidate requirements:
· Eight to ten years of experience in financial management
· Problem identification and solution-oriented mindset
· Thorough understanding of business, processes, systems and internal controls
· Strong proven knowledge of financial accounting standards and Supply Chain principles/processes (eg. S&OP)
· Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting, finance, budgeting, tax and regulatory requirements, accounts payable, and banking
· Process improvement experience within accounting and finance
· Mastery of Microsoft Office Products, advanced Excel
· Experience within ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), Corporate Performance Improvement, Data Visualization & Analysis (Tableau, PowerBI)
Highly desired experience:
· Financial/business experience in Supply Chain Finance in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with ABC Costing and practical experience with cost accounting
· Prior experience in a private equity environment
Specific title and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
