Overview

Responsible for maximizing sales and margin for their assigned product category through strategic inventory management. Works with key interfaces, and is responsible for reacting to current business trends and executing future business direction.          

Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

• Manage inventory investments to maximize productivity and fulfillment including initial buy, liquidation, reorders, and allocation strategies for assigned category.
• Execute seasonal department financial plans for assigned category that meets division level financial goals.
• Execute style level plans that meet department level financial goals.
• Manage OTB for assigned category.
• Support the development of fulfillment strategies with key interfaces including Merchandising and Product Development.
• Proactively identify dept specific retail issues and opportunities, proposing solutions and communicating a unified direction.
• Work with EB Asia partners / Vendors to place the buy, approve requested changes and enforce PO guidelines.
• Drive sales profitably via Postgame process and Seasonal Business Strategy reviews.
• Responsible for accurate PO’s, PO tracking, ship-mode (AIR vs SEA Analysis), and accurate PO receival for all incoming shipments to maximize fulfillment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

• 4 year college degree preferred.
• 1-2 years in a category planning/analysis, or inventory management role; retail preferred
• Demonstrated experience identifying problems/opportunities and providing solutions
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Demonstrated spreadsheet capabilities

• Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
• Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
