We have key strengths in areas of supplier sustainability assessment programs, carbon measurement and reporting, and impact strategies. Ecodesk is offering a great opportunity for a QA Developer to learn new, exciting technologies on the job, while being in a professional environment, delivering to deadlines and being exposed to real, live projects. The chosen candidate will get the opportunity to expand on their knowledge of both manual and automated testing.

Role Overview

• Test each release of multiple products, including testing on multiple devices and multiple versions of browsers
• Create test plans and test scripts
• Help the business to resolve client issues
• Reproduce problems to support the developers finding resolutions
• Create and manage issues in JIRA
• Expand, maintain, and manage QA automation scripts

Responsibilities

• To take responsibility for the quality of each product that has been tested
• Maintain Jira and liaise with the business to determine priorities.
• Verify issues raised and ensure sufficient information has been given
• Provide QA estimates for issues that are raised
• Provide feedback and guidance on QA involvement for releases and planning
• Support the internal infrastructure
• Maintain a current knowledge of technology that may be relevant in delivering the product(s)
• Keep your line manager updated on potential risks of releases and maintain a risk register
• Work towards ensuring product functionality is covered by automated testing
• Keep current QA automated scripts up to date in line with product functionality.
• Manage QA automated scripts and ensure they are properly versioned and stored securely
• Keep a record of QA related operational statistics to ensure QA functions as efficiently as possible

Required skills and expertise

• Experience in testing within an agile environment
• Knowledge of different testing methodologies
• Self-motivation, drive and commitment to adopt best practices and enhance the testing process further
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Attention to detail, inquisitive nature and the will to constantly improve products
• Ability to take responsibility and ownership.
• The ability to succeed and maintain high quality work when pressure is high and time is short
• Excellent time management
• Some knowledge of, or interest in, HipTest and/or Java Selenium automation tools would be beneficial.
