ecoCFO LLC Hiring for Financial Services Associate, FP&A Job at Remote Full Time

ecoCFO is seeking a full-time financial services associate responsible for FP&A, including preparing and maintaining detailed financial models for our cleantech clients. This is a junior-level position; we are seeking a candidate with 3-5 years experience.

ecoCFO is a full-service consulting firm that provides outsourced CFO and Accounting services to cleantech startups. We become our clients’ finance and accounting back-office team, allowing them to focus on delivering solutions to tackle climate change and the environmental crisis.

In this role, you will work directly with our current FP&A director and our clients’ management teams to understand their core business operations to tailor financial models for their unique needs. You will spend roughly 80 percent of your time on FP&A activities, partnering with accounting teams to produce and prepare quarterly forecasts and budgets, track them against actual performance, and deliver insights to executive management.

Other responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain department-specific financial models

• Develop financial presentations and assist with the analytical support for board meetings

• Analyze financial results and prepare financial reports and dashboards

• Build custom models for ad hoc reporting and analysis

• Structure, analyze, and compare financial metrics, charts, and other key performance indicators

• Provide occasional support to ecoCFO controllers during month-end close process.

• Be able to perform responsibilities on a flexible schedule to accommodate peak periods during quarter-end or planning cycles.

What you need to have for this role:

• Bachelor’s degree (required) in Finance or Accounting

• 3 – 5 years of progressive financial analyst or similar experience preferred

• Familiarity with valuation methods, cap table mechanics, and financing vehicles

• Experience with GAAP vs Cash accounting and forecasting treatment or methods

• Team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

• Executive presence and ability to interact with senior leadership

• Strong systems skills, including MS Excel and Google Sheets

• Comprehensive, strong communication skills

This position can be remote or based in Portsmouth, NH.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
