Eco Residental Roofs & Commerical Shelters Inc. Hiring for Mechanical Co- Op-Student at Orangeville, ON Full Time

This 4-month co-op position will work with Process/Safety Engineer and departmental supervisors on specific tasks of bonding flexible hoses end to end using spiral winding in various department. Use of hand tools for bonding with safety a priority is a key requirement of this role. Based on the candidate’s performance and time management skills, this role can be converted into a full-time production operator position or a millwright apprentice

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

· Currently finishing high school or enrolled in mechanical technician program with interests inclined towards industrial job

· Basic practical knowledge of choosing the correct hand tools for various tasks

· Strong verbal skills with ability to understand written procedures

· Ability to work physically in an industrial manufacturing environment

· Ability to climb and stand on ladders and comfortable working on heights more than 25ft

· Appreciation and understanding of the need for lock-out and tag out procedures.

· Excellent verbal communication with operators and shift leaders to properly communicate requests for shutdown, lock-out and tagout on conveying systems prior to work.

· Ability to schedule own task around production schedules and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Bonding flexible hoses using spiral winding

· Bonding of aluminum and conveying lines with periodic inspection of bonded lines

· Use proper hand tools for various mechanical jobs

· Evaluate best way to perform bonding of equipment with safety a priority

· Keep appropriate records of pertinent work assigned

Additional Information:

· Work with minimal supervision

· Work within guidelines of rules and regulations

· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs

· Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team environment and be a positive contributing member of that team in solution development and implementation

· Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safely in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines

· Responsible for good housekeeping in your area
