About the Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salary Packaging Team Leader to join our high energy, friendly and passionate team at our Melbourne office.

The Salary Packaging Team Leader position is responsible for the delivery of external and internal salary packaging services, involving the operation of our salary packaging tool and the provision of advice and support on salary packaging offerings. This position will ensure compliance with accounting controls, principles, reporting requirements and perform payroll and balance reconciliations.

In addition, the role will oversee the preparation of salary packaging FBT report requirements for clients. There will be some responsibility in the wider business FBT reporting requirements, including a degree of internal coordination to deliver FBT capability externally to our wide range of customers at driver and organisational levels.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the Salary Packaging Team to provide efficient, accurate and customer-focused salary packaging solutions to our clients
• Managing and reporting on SLA; holding the team accountable to deliver effective salary packaging service agreed KPI’s
• Driving internal engagement on the products and services offered under a salary packaging
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll, HR and finance departments
• FBT Accountability – responsible for delivery of accurate and timely FBT reporting capability to our clients. This will require significant internal stakeholder engagement and internal resource coordination.
• Engaging with customers on their FBT reporting expectations
• Remaining informed of any legislative changes that may impact on the salary packaging service offering

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience
• In-depth knowledge of salary packaging benefits and FBT legislation
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and leadership skills
• Ability to utilise systems and technology to streamline and improve processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead internal change activities with a passion for continuous improvement
• A clear understanding of novated leases and other salary packaging benefits
• Experience with management of bank accounts, monitoring funds transfers and cash flows
