About the Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salary Packaging Consultant to join our high energy, friendly and passionate team at our Melbourne office. The Salary Packaging Consultant will report to the Salary Packaging Manager – Consumer.

The Consumer Division of FleetPlus provides Novated Leasing – a leasing solution which attracts and retains valued employees while providing them with a tax-effective way to own their own vehicle and obtain their ideal car. Available to all staff regardless of salary or seniority, the Consumer team will also manage the product on behalf of the customer, ensuring their employees make the most of this great benefit.

You will be responsible for:

• Operating the Salary Packaging application
• Providing support on Salary Packaging to customers
• Ensuring compliance with Accounting controls, principles and reporting requirements
• Performing client account & bank reconciliations
• Providing helpful, clear and timely support to customers (employees and employers) (but not accounting advice)
• Liaising with the vendor who hosts, maintains and provides technical support for the salary packaging application
• Supporting sales staff with your knowledge of Salary Packaging by contributing to the preparation of communications
• Supporting Accounts Receivable for payment collection

What we are looking for:

• Accounting degree qualified
• Exposure/Working knowledge of Fringe Benefits Tax (preferably Cars)
• Exposure to Payroll and Salary Packaging
• Previous Salary Packaging Administration experience either in a Salary Packaging company or in a company where the candidate was an Accountant for internal Novated Leases.
• Word and Excel, in addition to other program experience and exposure
• Understanding of accrual accounting concepts
• High data entry keystrokes with strong attention to detail
