Who We Are

We are a large, growing early education center (children ages infants through Kindergarten) in center city Philadelphia looking to add senior leaders to our administrative team to grow with us. We are independently owned and you will therefore have the opportunity to lead with autonomy while building a strong professional pathway. The Opportunity

Provide hands-on leadership to the organization and set the strategic direction for future growth.

Your Job

As an executive leader you understand both the business and educational aspects of managing a school. You will oversee both excellence in daily operations as well as chart the future direction for the school. You will be supported by a team of senior leaders and will focus and coordinate their work in:

• providing a safe and nurturing learning environment
• maintaining compliance with all regulations
• delivering an evidence-based pedagogical approach that builds student agency and a love for learning
• delivering strong student enrollment, related reports and projections
• building a culture of optimism, support and professional growth for teaching staff
• building a culture of strong relationships, two-way feedback and a sense of community with families
• building and managing an optimal budget
• delivering key analysis and reports to support decision making
• building and maintain the school’s reputation in ECE excellence
• upholding the organization’s core values

Together with the school’s owners, you will set the strategic direction for the growth:

• identify areas for growth including new programming and evaluation of additional sites

• Forge strategic partnerships

You will help your team build their capacity, grow their careers and deliver maximum value to the school, in service of our mission to serve children. You will communicate the school’s vision consistently and effectively in order to align people and processes around the vision. You are comfortable learning new things on the fly and helping your team cope with changing seasons within the industry. You are a problem solver looking for solutions within and outside the industry. You are a pragmatic decision maker balancing short term needs with an appreciation for longer term goals.

You understand that the best managers serve their teams, removing roadblocks and giving individual contributors autonomy and ownership. You understand the power of calling people to a higher mission and are therefore relentless in creating a favorable organizational culture.

Who You Are

• Bachelors or Masters in Education and/or Business Administration
• An understanding of both business and educational aspects of leading a school
• 2-5 years experience in an ECE leadership position (experience within Philadelphia a plus)
• Experience in directly managing and coaching high-performing teams
• Passion for solving complex problems collaboratively through ideation and discussion, using data to make informed decisions
• Desire to be an integral part of an organization that values the potential in every child, diversity in the community and innovation and impact in the workplace
• A phenomenal communicator who can work across various stakeholders – teachers, administration, families, children and industry colleagues
• Remain positive, even-keeled and constructive while dealing with challenges

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
