A bit about the role:

We’re really pleased to be looking for a Finance Manager to help keep our day to day finance work on track. You’ll be working with our CFO and our Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager to assist in the daily accounting tasks that will support our business. You’ll also be responsible for other general office tasks to help keep things running smoothly. This is a varied role covering a wide range of daily and month end duties.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Create client invoices on Xero and keep the purchase ledger up to date and accurate
• Process staff expenses including Timesheets for Approval via accounting
• Assist in the processing and submitting of the monthly payroll.
• Process tax code changes and issuing p45s, and ensuring accuracy
• Managing Sales and purchase invoices, checking purchase orders are complete on each job, publishing final invoices to Xero
• Reconcile PCL bank accounts including dealing with reconciliation issues with Finance, as well as, answering any queries.
• Monitor pensions process and notify accountants quarterly
• Perform due diligence on payroll
• Involvement in Financial onboarding process and PAYE
• Update weekly rolling cash flow forecast and reconcile back to Xero brought forward balances
• Support line manager with monthly management accounts and board pack narrative
• Any other reasonable request in relation to the role.

We’re a start up so there’s a fair amount of change: we’re looking for someone who is flexible and resilient and happy to roll with it. We’d love you to come with plenty of energy and enthusiasm: we’re a friendly bunch but a small team so it’s always helpful having someone who’s happy to pitch in! From our side, we’ll do our best to make sure that you receive regular communication and plenty of support.

• Part or newly qualified
• Intermediate level of Excel skills
• Must be detail oriented and have good analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation skills
• Ability to work successfully in a team and deadline driven environment
