EasyHOA Hiring for Software Engineering Technical Lead Job at Saint George, UT Full Time

We are a small startup at the very beginning of building our company and product. EasyHOA is envisioned to be a simplified solution for homeowners associations to be able manage membership of, collect payment from, and communicate with homeowners. The total addressable market is massive and largely untapped. Our founders, fresh off their most recent successful exit, have bootstrapped the business and are looking for a technical counterpart to help make their vision of modernizing this mostly archaic industry a reality.

You’ll work closely with the co-founders to understand their vision of the product and execute on delivery. As a critical member of a small team, you’ll need to hit the ground running towards the MVP (and beyond) and be comfortable wearing many hats, including: architect, full stack software engineer, dev-ops engineer, hiring manager, mentor, and leader. You’ll have the opportunity to make and influence key technical decisions the will set the trajectory for the product.

Qualities we are looking for:

• A seasoned and skilled engineer who has built, launched and supported products in the past. You know what it takes because you’ve done it before.

• A self-starter who is capable of taking a concept from idea to delivered product with little oversight, but with regular communication.

• A leader who can identify, hire and retain talent and utilize team members to maximize velocity while maintaining a sane work/life balance.

• Someone who can articulate technical concepts to non-technical co-workers and lay out pros and cons to technical decisions and how they would impact the business.

• A product-minded developer with a strong sense of customer empathy and the ability to ask questions and make suggestions to the product owners.

What we expect from this role:

• Architect the product. We don’t need an extensive, heavy handed design doc, we just want someone with a sensible design and plan for implementation.

• Code the product. This is a hands-on coding role that requires front and backend development.

• Test the product. Automate as much as you can, and help out with whatever else is needed

• Deploy the product. Own the operating platform and ensure that the product is supportable with reasonable logging, telemetry, etc.

• Secure the product. Use industry best practices to ensure customer data is safe.

• Work with the team to understand the product requirements and create an SDLC process. As a team, we want to keep the process as light as possible while still accomplishing our goals.

• Hire up to 2 additional developers to flesh out the team and ensure that they are engaged, productive and growing in their careers.
