You will have a key role in supporting and educating parents during the early postnatal period by assisting parents and registered midwives/nurses to provide holistic care for newborn infants.

• Providing general care for newborn babies
• Providing transitional care for babies returning to the ward from Special Care
• Completing specific observations on neonates at risk
• Supporting parents with their feeding choices
• Providing education to parents around the care of their newborn
