Workforce and Organisational Development Consultant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, collaborative, enthusiastic Workforce and Organisational Development Consultant within the Workforce and Organisational Development teams in Adult Social Care. The role will lead on an existing portfolio of Workforce and OD projects and business as usual processes but will also be instrumental in the development of Workforce and OD projects, workforce wellbeing, staff recruitment and retention, team days, workshops, internal and external events and much more.
The successful candidate will be a professional, dedicated team player who can lead in the concept, design, development, management and delivery of highly engaging, sometimes complex, pieces of work. You will need to be able to draw upon your Workforce and Organisational Development experience to enable you to lead projects, analyse data, develop ideas and steer conversations to outcome. You will have a flexible approach for our fast-paced and changeable environment. You will have strong working knowledge of Workforce, Organisational Development and HR strategies and how they underpin, shape and influence the workforce that you will be working with.
The role requires a strong, collaborative, innovative, effective ‘all channel’ communicator, able to adapt and flex their approach and style when working with different internal and external audiences. You will have a high level of written skills and the ability to utilise a variety of engagement mechanisms, including large group presenting. You will be practised at delivering key messages to staff and stakeholders in a variety of formats. You will be self-motivated and comfortable working within a small, sometimes very fast-paced team, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure the timely delivery of the team’s priorities in line with the department strategic targets.
This is a key role which will primarily be based in Lewes at County Hall. However, given the diverse nature of the role, you must be able to demonstrate how you will fulfil the travel requirements across the county, East Sussex County Council sites and independent venues as required. After an initial period, you will be able to work some of your working week from home.
You can expect high standards of training and development, supervision and wellbeing support. East Sussex County Council offer a Staff Benefits Portal after a qualifying period, where staff can access a number of discounts and benefits with hundreds of retailers, hospitality and entertainment outlets.
If this sounds like the role for you, we invite you to apply using the link below. We look forward to hearing from you.
