We are looking for:

Tutors with:

• Proven experience of teaching and assessing English as a foreign language
• A passion for facilitating learning and assessment, sharing their knowledge and skills and building confidence in all students

Individuals who:

• Have a willingness to continually improve their own skills
• Are extremely proficient in IT skills, in the context of planning, delivering and assessing learning
• Have proven experience of teaching online and using online learning and assessment tools
• Experience of working with diverse groups of adult learners, some of whom may have additional learning/support needs

Package Description

Hours: Part-Time

Start Date: October 2022 onwards

Contract: PRO-RATA (generally TERM TIME ONLY)

Salary: You will be paid pro-rata per course. Full-Time Equivalent Salary is £22,689 – £23,346.

Qualifications:

• 4/C grade in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
• An English Language qualification, e.g. TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or DELTA

Commitment:

Per course:

• 2.5 to 5 hours (one or two sessions) per week teaching
• 2.5 to 5 hours per week planning, preparations and assessment

Additional hours:

• Course planning and set up
• Professional development
• Tutorials *
• Mock examinations/assessments*

(*may occasionally be scheduled outside term times)

Course information:

Duration: Typically 10 or 30 weeks dependent on the discipline

Times & Locations:

• Daytime Crowborough, Hailsham, Heathfield (days to be confirmed)
• Evening Crowborough (Tues), Hailsham (Tues),
• Uckfield ( Mon, Tues or Wed) Heathfield (Thursday)
• College and outreach venues
• Online (considered only in addition to face to face provision, days and times to be confirmed)
