Senior Teachers (with management responsibilities) – The Southfield Trust

The Southfield Trust is embarking on a new venture and we are offering exciting opportunities across our excellent special school multi-academy trust. The Trust currently has three schools, located across five, distinct school sites. We are expanding that provision to include a new, purpose built special school, Summerdown School. All of our schools are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Opening Summerdown School will create a wide range of interesting and motivating posts across every school in The Southfield Trust. We will recruit internally and externally to all teaching posts.

The Southfield Trust would like to appoint Senior Teachers with management responsibilities, in a full time, permanent capacity from April, 2022 or September 2022.

The Senior Teacher will work within the senior management team and support the wider work of the school and Trust, including taking responsibility for projects which may change from time to time. The post involves providing site cover, managing the site if the Head of Provision is not available. You will also respond to the needs of the provision, as they arise.

This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to work with a skilled and experienced leadership team. It also provides the chance to make a difference more broadly, via the work of the Trust, improving life chances for young people.

The successful applicant will have a proven and successful track record of outstanding teaching and an in-depth understanding of special education. You should have energy and commitment and be capable of achieving great outcomes for your pupils/students. You should be determined to achieve the very best for everyone involved with our inclusive and forward-thinking Trust and be committed to working in partnership with a range of stakeholders.
