We have a 26K square foot facility including a family friendly 3K square foot beer hall at our facility in New Haven that is open to the public 5 days per week. Manufacturing operations are active 6 days per week.
Job Description
The cellar and packaging operator will be a generalist, responsible for executing a multitude of daily tasks in the cellar and packaging area. This position requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and an uncompromising commitment towards quality and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

• CIP of fermentation vessels and other cellar and packaging equipment
• Racking, filtration, dry hopping, and carbonation
• Management of temperature schedules for in-process beer
• Cleaning and organization of the cellar area
• Cell counts
• Quality checks on in-process beer and finished packaged products
• Preparation of raw materials for packaging operations
• Operation of a GAI 3003A bottling line
• Operation of a Codi canning line
• Cleaning, sanitation, and filling of kegs

Requirements and candidate attributes

• 2 years of experience or an educational background in brewing science
• Strong work ethic and a desire to learn
• Excellent time management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on your feet in a sometimes loud and temperature variable environment
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 55 lbs. and maneuver 165 lb. kegs
• Abide by company PPE standards, chemical handling standards, and good manufacturing practices
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Mechanical inclination a big plus
