Role and Responsibilities
To support the shipyard service operations by providing support with resources, parts/supplies, and ordering as well as basic administrative functions. Inventory control in the back end will be the primary focus as well as assisting to support the office and client facing functionality. This role will work closely with the Yard Foreman, Office Manager, Operations Manager, Service Technicians, and Sub-Contractors.
· Collaborate with the Office Manager to ensure clients are invoiced for parts and help ensure accurate billing
· Update POS system and inventory for both shop and yard use as well as chandlery
· Order parts and inventory for all projects in advance of their need
· Receive product shipments/orders and distribute them according
· Maintain inventory organization and storage for easy access
· Order shop inventory and product inventory for small and large projects
· Maintain tools and equipment are in good working order in advance of their use
· Order and maintain an inventory of PPE for all projects
· Complete urgent and as-needed orders when required
· Organize and maintain the retail store front including cleaning, unpacking boxes and stocking products on shelves
· Responsible for matching delivery slips with inventory received to ensure shipments are accurate
· Complete proper follows ups with vendors to ensure parts will arrive when required
· Greeting customers upon entry to the storefront
· Assist customers with questions, product sales, and communications
· Maintain a clean and organized presentation of the storefront and offices
· Maintain supply stock and appearance in the bathroom for staff and guests
· Assist labourers with payroll entry and ensuring all time is entered completely and accurately
· Schedule hauling/launching services as well as any vessel services required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
