East Partnership Hiring for M&A Director – Corporate Development at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

• Sydney based role, ing directly to C-Suite

Our client is a successful and growing consumer and retail platform with one of the most desired brand names to work for in Australia. Working directly with C-Suite and Head of Strategy, we are looking for a Senior Investment Banker, or for someone that is currently sitting within another corporate (ideally with the consumer sector), that wants to move to a growing platform, that has a very exciting pipeline and an upward career trajectory.

The preferred candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing potential M&A opportunities that align with our corporate strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, and negotiation, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Role and responsibilities:

Collaborate with legal, financial, and cross-functional teams to structure and negotiate M&A transactions.

Ensure that deals are structured to optimize value and align with the company’s strategic goals.

Lead negotiations with potential acquisition targets and stakeholders.

Develop integration plans for acquired companies to ensure seamless post-acquisition operations and maximize synergies.

Work closely with operational teams to execute integration plans and monitor progress.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, board members, and investment banks.

Communicate and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and the board of directors.

Stay current with industry trends and market dynamics to identify potential growth opportunities and threats.

Contribute to the development and refinement of the company’s long-term corporate development strategy.

We are ideally looking for someone with a minimum of 12-15 years experience within Investment Banking, and ideally with a consumer & retail sector focus. Alternatively we could consider someone who currently sits within M&A a consumer/retail focused corporate.
