Senior Finance Officer – Limited Tenure

Position overview

We are currently looking for a full time Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance team! The purpose of this limited tenure role (until 30 March 2023) is to support the Financial Accounting Services function of Council.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Tertiary degree or diploma qualification in a business-related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated substantial senior financial accounting experience preferably within the local government sector.
• Extensive experience in managing cash and investments for a large organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and under limited supervision.
• Sound demonstrated communication skills and ability to liaise with various levels of staff.
• Demonstrated ability to create and analyse spreadsheets.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a current Police Check and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Applicants for this position must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
