E3 Recruitment Looking for Project Manager at Sheffield, South Yorkshire Full Time

An opportunity for a Project Manager to join our global Client that design, manufacture and deliver world-class steel forgings and castings.

Our client have already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add a Project Manager on a permanent position.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global business, that established Sheffield’s reputation as a Steel making power house.

They offer an unparallel service in the world of complex steel and take on projects other steel companies cannot do due to the intellectual capacity and the nous the company have.

Currently with a head count of 600 plus employees and working in specialist areas of Defence, Civil Nuclear and the Renewables market.

DUTIES INCLUDE FOR THE ROLE OF PROJECT MANAGER :

• Monitoring project costs and programmes, maintaining detailed project and quality records.
• Producing and maintaining highly detailed project programmes.
• Daily tracking of the progress of all components through the manufacturing process (in house and external).
• Identifying suppliers and obtaining quotations, negotiating delivery schedules.
• Working closely with third party inspector to understand and ensure strict regulatory compliance.
• Arranging third party and client witness points.
• Managing project gate reviews.
• Producing weekly detailed financial forecasts, project costs and value of work done.

KEEN TO SPEAK TO PROJECT MANAGERS :

• Experience and background in manging and taking responsibility for projects with significant financial value + commercial importance.
• Castings/Forgings/General Engineering industry experience.
• Good understanding of engineering processes.
• Worked in the Nuclear /Defence Industries.
• Understand Technical + Manufacturing terminology + specifications.

• Basic Salary up to £38,000 per annum.
