Seveney Mortgage Note Investments is a Virginia-based private real estate investment firm. We have built a team of professionals across all major markets, allowing our clients to invest from anywhere across the U.S. CWS Investments Inc. is our latest fund, which is live as a Regulation A+ fund, with a 75 million dollar goal raise.

Job Duties

Maintain general ledgers by proposing and posting journal entries for all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes.

Accounting & Finance

• Lead all Accounts Payable and Receivable duties
• Keep the general ledger and books updated within company deadlines
• Perform general ledger analysis of accounts on regular frequency
• Assist with financial data such as maintenance and analysis
• Review vendor setups for accuracy and completeness
• Handle corporate credit card administrator
• Coordinate with Investor Relations to issue Investor Distributions
• Assist in the annual external audits
• Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of our financial reporting for our investors and SEC reporting through our third-party auditing firm

Reporting

• Report to the leadership team to ensure effectiveness of processes
• Monthly employee expense reports, assuring employees are following policy
• Track and report monthly KPI’s as needed
• Assists in preparing weekly reports for management
• Assist in various ad-hoc financial analyses and other projects
• Historical Loan performance data tracking to develop predictive analysis review.

Other

• Maintain relationships with upper management and leadership across the organization
• Other duties as assigned

Fund Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 5 years of Accounting experience
• Experience working with a real estate company
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify areas of process improvement opportunities
• Experience working with Quickbooks
• Experience with Tableau and JP Morgan Chase Banking is preferred but not required
