About the Role

As a key member of the Finance team, this role is responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager, the Consumer Payments Analyst and the Financial Controller. The position will have specific responsibilities within these functions and in addition will provide backup in periods of sickness, holiday or during busy periods.

There will also be project work required as part of the growing finance function and the growing company structure.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Participate in the month end close & reporting process to ensure the timely completion of the commentary/variance analysis to base and latest estimate along with reviewing & reconciling allocated balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, the preparation of rolling monthly forecasts for overheads and working proactively with the FP&A team to ensure all plans are uploaded on a timely and accurate basis.

• Ensure that the Finance function operates at optimum levels meeting the needs of partners in other areas of the business and demonstrating capability to use insights reports to influence and enhance business operations

• Provide backup and support to the payroll manager where required by processing of monthly and weekly payroll and answering employee queries

About You

You will bring your exceptional analytical skills to this position with great attention to detail and accuracy. As the Assistant Accountant, you will have the ability to keep up to date with accounting methodologies and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Previous skills and experience:

• Finance degree and/or relevant experience working in a finance role

• A desire to start CA or CPA programmes

• Advanced Excel skills is essential

• Experience using SAP

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
