The Company

A Software Provider based in Cheshire is looking for a Junior Database Administrator to join their growing team. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will get the chance to work on state-of-the-art databases

You will have the opportunity to gain experience building and developing multiple database environments for medium and large enterprise sites on both legacy and Cloud. You will gain experience working in environments that include SQL and DevOps.

This role is remote. However, to help continue developing your skills they will look for you to attend the office from time to time to help with training.

The business is committed to your personal and professional development, and you will also have access to their advanced training portal where you can complete as many courses as you like. You will also have financial support for pursing vendor certifications of your choice.

Junior Database Administrator Role and Responsibilities

You will be integral to the database team, supporting the work of the build and development team with environments within SQL and DevOps.

• Support all database projects for the team.
• Support the Senior DBA.
• Configure and implement all environments solutions.
• Assist the database team on technical queries.
• Act as a senior point of contract to the team.
• Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, as the key point of contact.

Skills and Experience required for the Junior Database Administrator:

The business will support your development, as you grow into the Junior Database Administrator role and progress to a Database Administrator. The business does ask however, that you have:

• Must have at least 1 years experience working as a Database Administrator.
• Must have experience configuring and building SQL Environments.
• Ideally have knowledge of DevOps environment.
• Ideally have knowledge of working on projects that include Azure DevOps.
• Must be able to interphase with both technical, and non-technical staff.
