Schedules staff in accordance with existing departmental procedures. Adjusts schedule and arranges coverage as required to meet operational needs and unexpected absences.
Maintains operational records for the courier department including, but not limited to, accident reports and insurance claims management, courier route updates (address changes, additional stops, removal of stops), vehicle reports, fuel reports, dispatcher log sheets and driver log sheets. Verifies accuracy and enters data into databases as appropriate.
Ensures routine inspection and maintenance of vehicles is completed as scheduled and that vehicles are kept in safe and proper operating condition and rotated appropriately.
Performs vehicle content checks and replenishes supplies as necessary. Responsible for new vehicle start ups and tear downs for decommissioned vehicles.
Provides training to Drivers on all applicable routes, reviews and ensures sign off and completion of check lists and training manuals, completes driver evaluations and in-house testing, as well as facility walkthroughs.
Responsible for maintaining and reviewing courier manuals on a regular basis and ensuring that all
Provides administrative support to Logistics department including filing, mail distribution, ordering office supplies, faxing, copying, etc.
May be required to provide back up and duties of a Driver.

Required Experience
3 – 5 years of related work experience in Logisitc and or Transportation.
Previous courier driving experience is an asset.
Dispath experience an asset.

Applicant(s) hired into this psition will be required to provide a 5 year Driver’s Abstract as a condition of employment.
