Dyer & Butler Looking for Site Manager (Minor Civils – Rail) at Birmingham, West Midlands (County) Full Time

We are presently seeking to recruit a Site Manager to join our expanding Rail Division. Based in our Midlands Region you will be working on a varied portfolio of Rail Infrastructure projects for Network Rail and Train Operating Companies.

Duties will include:

• Controlling all site activities with respect to health, safety, quality & environmental procedures
• Site Supervision
• Management of Sub-Contractors
• Delivery of works to programme & budget
• Producing all required SHEQ Documentation (Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, Risk Assessments etc)
• Temporary Works Coordination
• Pre-start site inspections
• Planning (including road closures and possessions)
• Undertake Toolbox talks & SHEQ briefings
• Procurement of Plant & Materials to undertake the works
• Client liaison

 About you:

• Qualified to HNC in Civil Engineering (minimum)
• Demonstrable experience working on Network Rail Civil Engineering projects and station environments is essential
• Previous experience working on platform extension projects, access for all schemes (AFA’s), bridge re-construction projects and in station environments is desirable
• Previous experience working with Train Operating Companies
• Previous experience working with NEC4 contracts and use of CEMAR
• Previous experience using Oracle
• Programming experience is desirable, preferably with P6
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• The ability to get the most out of the people working for you
