Dyer & Butler Looking for Site Engineer – Rail at CT19, Shorncliffe Camp, Kent Full Time

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our Rail Division in the Kent & Sussex region, to be based from our Folkestone office, and be involved on a wide variety of challenging Rail infrastructure and civil engineering projects across our varied portfolio of safety critical works.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carry out and record briefings of technical updates to the project team, including sub-contractors and promote best practice.
• Assist the management team in planning engineering works and resources required to carry out the work.
• Support site works and ensure critical engineering decisions are made and any issues that arise are dealt with compliantly.
• Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications, raising of Technical Queries (TQ’s).
• Able to fulfil the role of Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
• Produce high quality documentation and information for submission in a timely manner (ITPs, Work Package Plans, Task briefs etc).
• Working on earthwork schemes, piling works, off and on track drainage, and a variety of other rail related civils works.

About You:

• a Civil Engineering background with a minimum of HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 
• have demonstrable experience in the same or similar role with a civil engineering contractor
• have worked on rail infrastructure related projects
• Personal Track Safety 
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Full driving licence
