POSITION INFORMATION:
Part-time support opportunity (classification): regular part-time
Hourly rate: $25.89
Department: Centre for Teaching & Learning
Hours: 24 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 am through 4:30 pm (some evening and weekend work required) This position may be required to work 35 hours per week at peak periods.
Reporting To: Associate Dean
Campus Location: Oshawa
DUTIES:
Provides administrative support to staff involved in the College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP) including preparing and processing documentation, reports, research, packages, evidence gathering, catering arrangements, room bookings.
Provides administrative support for meetings, such as booking rooms, preparing agendas and minutes.
Provides administrative support to the Associate Dean, Teaching, Learning and Program Quality
Provides administrative support to staff involved in new program development, review and renewal processes including degree-level consent and consent renewal processes.
Performs reception/clerical duties both in person, by telephone and e-mail, takes messages, arranges appointments as necessary, responds to a variety of inquiries from faculty, staff, other departments.
Handles confidential matters with discretion.
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a two-year diploma in Office Administration.
A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an office environment. Experience in an academic environment would be an asset
High level of proficiency in the use of computer software such as word, excel, PDF and PowerPoint i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, email, online resources, internet research.
A background in the use of Banner and FAST would be an asset.
Experience in an academic environment would be an asset
Excellent customer service/communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic).
Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively with team members.
Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
