Dulux Paints – Store Manager

Job Function:

When you join Dulux Paints, you join Canada’s leader in decorative paints. We are seeking a dynamic customer focused Store Manager to join our diverse team.

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall sales performance within their store. They must assure that they are meeting sales and profit goals while adhering to all PPG policies and procedures including policies on safety, ethics, and Health and Safety.

Expectations:

• High energy, positive attitude and a customer focused mindset.
• Providing leadership and direction of team to provide customer experience excellence in their store.
• Works jointly with the Sales team to generate new and maintain existing business and reach established financial goals.
• Works with Sales Reps to develop customer tactics and strategies.
• Establishes performance goals and plans for each employee and conducts regular reviews to ensure performance standards are being met.
• Works within an established budget.
• Coordinates the relationship between customers, upper PPG management, Credit and other PPG functions as needed.
• Assists in the resolution of customer issues with Sales Rep and Technical Services.
• Develops, leads and motivates sales staff

Requirements:

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and sales skills as well as supervisory skills.
• Working knowledge of store operations
• Broad knowledge of paint industry, paint products and their applications would be considered an asset but not necessary
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 5 gallon pails up to 70lbs
